How to Play Minesweeper Challenge

🔢 Board Mechanics

Grid: The playing field consists of a grid of covered squares.
Mines: Deadly bombs randomly hidden beneath certain squares.
Numbers: Uncovering a safe square reveals a number (from 0 to 8). This number tells you exactly how many mines are hidden in the 8 adjacent squares surrounding it (top, bottom, left, right, and diagonals). If it’s blank (0), all 8 surrounding squares are guaranteed safe!

🖱️ Basic Controls

You only need two tools to dominate the minefield:

Open (Shovel): Click the shovel icon, then tap any tile to dig it up. If it's a mine: BOOM! Game Over. If it's a number: It gives you a clue. If it's blank (0): The game triggers a chain reaction, automatically opening all connected blank squares and their numbered borders.
Flag: Use this to mark suspected mines. Click the flag icon, then tap a covered square to plant a flag. Tap it again to remove the flag if you change your mind.

👿 Difficulty Tiers

Easy: 9x9 grid with 10 mines. Perfect for beginners to learn the logic.
Normal: 12x12 grid with 30 mines. A solid, standard challenge.
Hard: 16x16 grid with 50 mines. Things get seriously tricky here.
Ultimate: 19x19 grid with 100 mines! For hardcore veterans only!

Frequently Asked Questions about Minesweeper Challenge games

Is it possible to click a mine on my very first try?

Absolutely not! The game features a 'First-Click Protection' mechanic. Your very first tap on the grid will always be 100% safe.

Are there any tips or tricks?

Minesweeper is all about logic, never guessing. Here is the fundamental thought process:

Scenario: You see a square showing the number '1'.
Meaning: Out of the 8 squares touching it, EXACTLY 1 is a mine.
Deduction: If you've already planted 1 flag in those 8 squares, the remaining 7 MUST be safe to open! Conversely, if 7 of those 8 squares are already opened and safe, the 1 remaining covered square MUST be the mine. Flag it immediately!

I'm totally stuck and can't figure out where the mine is. What do I do?

Don't worry! You can click the Lightbulb icon next to the Open button. By watching a quick ad, the game will automatically plant a correct flag on one undiscovered mine for you! Also, if you accidentally click a mine and die, you can watch an ad to revive and undo that fatal click!
